What is it about former rocket engineers that make innovative MLM experts? Is the ability to see inside complex mechanisms, pull the guts out and redesign them in a more efficient manner? Ferny Ceballos is one such ex-engineer turned SEO Guru, renowned for his take-no-prisoners approach to multi-level marketing and all things web. This is a short review of Ferny Ceballos, the man and his work.

Ferny grew up poor in East L.A, studied hard, an A student who got little sleep between school, football practice and his job at Chuck E. Cheese. He recalls never really fitting in, happy for the chance to leave for Boston and MIT. Armed with his degree, ferny landed a comfortable cubicle job with a defense contractor, learned respect for the military while being appalled by the inefficiency and lack of regard for budgets. He was unhappy in his work, his personal life and at a loss in the corporate life.

MLM Boot Camp

Ferny sought a way out of his boring, but lucrative job, and after a relationship failure of epic proportions was reunited with Gary Fong, whom he’d met at Grad School. After seeing Gary’s work, Ferny realized it offered the excitement and adventure he’d been missing, and jumped right in.

Fully aware he needed to change himself as much as his work, ferny embarked on a foray into personal development to become the “Alpha Networker”, Mike Dillard describes so eloquently in his Magnetic Sponsoring course. This gave him an opening to learn the skills needed for networking, marketing, mentoring and entrepreneurship.

In about a month, Ferny was deep into network marketing, involved in sponsoring 17 up and coming individuals and feeling the benefits of his personal work. He watched as those 17 fought for survival, or not, in the harsh world of MLM. In his own words, Ferny says, “I started finding purpose to my life in helping others better their lives.

Any review of Ferny Ceballo’s achievements must include the famous battle of words via the internet with a rival, Anne Seig. Ferny had clearly won the war, and a suggestion came that they meet came from a colleague of  his, just as he began to experience little victor’s remorse. The meeting lead to their becoming firm friends, after all, they were both stars in the MLM firmament, so why not? Ferny practices martial arts at Hwa Rang Do, can be tracked via @Ferny_Ceballos, and fully lives by the quote,” Life’s journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out shouting, “Holy ***t……what a ride!”
